Custom Profile Fields
At the request of Chris Davis I have been tinkering with adding custom profile fields to a user profile. I was initially able to verify it was possible with a code snippet and then moved on to adding settings.
Although it's still early in development, this is going to be a big boost to profiles for several reason. First, you will be able to add as many fields you want like text, text area, date picker, phone number, address, email and so on. You will be able to set visibility (public, members only, user only with admin access, and admin only). You can set if the field is required and it triggers a message letting you know which required field is missing.
My plan is to also make it searchable and to add an Admin Notes area. Here's a few screenshots of what I have so far. Please note that most features are not working but have placeholder content/settings but this is definitely going to be amazing. Also, the layout has already changed and it will definitely be light/dark themed compatible.
I also plan to make the fields verify the format is correct. So for example an email field has the correct format, and same for phone number, and so on.
We need custom profile fields integrated with fluent crm
Andre Gois I don't use fluent crm, but the fields and meta are stored in the database similar to a custom post type, and can be easily accessed.
When you finish are you going to sell this or share?
teethy it’s being added to the plugin I’m releasing soon. It will be part free and part premium.
This feature in particular will be a premium add-on.
A few picture updates on the status of this and hope to have it ready for release by this weekend.
Dev site where it's currently active: https://snowy-pebble-179685.1wp.site/community/u/jeffb
and I'm aware the posts don't show when viewing as a visitor/guest.
I now have a stable version running on my site. You can view some of the custom fields in my profile (others are set to visibility as member only, so you have to be logged in).
I have added a roadmap kanban from FCom Add-on's plugin that you can view here if you want to request features, report bugs, etc.... https://jeffbrigman.com/community/boards/roadmaps
