Courses - Embedding Video Question

Hello. For courses and embedding video are we able to use Streamable or Spotlightr? I am intrigued by Spotlightr anti piracy features.

William Beem

Don't know either of them. Do they offer embed codes?

James Robinson

Yes both of them do, just want to make sure they would work with FC.

William Beem

James RobinsonΒ Likely so. FluentCommunity has OEmbed for YouTube and HTML for others. I'm using Bunny Stream to embed my videos. It requires some slight mods to work correctly with FC, but no problems so far.

I have to remove the DIV from front and back, and change one ABSOLUTE statement to RELATIVE.

Charlotte

William BeemΒ Are these mods for embedding Bunny-hosted videos available somewhere here in the community? Or are you willing to share more details? πŸ™πŸ» Thx!

William Beem

Charlotte DΒ Yes, I learned about them here. It's pretty simple once you do it a time or two.

Remove the top & bottom \

areas. Toward the bottom of the code, replace the last (perhaps only) "absolute" with "relative" and then save.

That works and keeps the relative size as you change your browser, use mobile, etc.

Charlotte

William Beem Fabulous! I'm about to start our community setup & we also use Bunny. Thanks for saving me some time on this. 🀩

William BeemΒ strange - we just copy and paste the embed code, no changes, no problems. Is it a particular orientation of video you have problems with?

William Beem

Jonathan Gwyer The video shows, but does not take up the viewing space, and does not resize correctly.

Jonathan Gwyer

William BeemΒ strange - always works here. I just have these settings and copy and paste.

William Beem

Jonathan GwyerΒ Perhaps you have a better way, so I'll test it out. Mine doesn't like the div or the absolute.

James Robinson

Many thanks for the info.
