Changing Username Impact on Mentions
What happens someone changes their username but has mentions (or tagged) under their old username? I did it in this community and the previous tagged username still shows as my name but when I click on it it takes me to a blank error screen.
I'm assuming old usernames aren't updated to point to the new username in this case? If that is true, is there anyway to update the old mentions to point to the new username? Maybe a database search and replace if nothing native?
This is an important detail that would love to be addressed automatically by the plugin itself. It sounds simple but it may be a little technically challenging, specially after accumulating a lot of user data over time. Hope it's not the case and can be implemented easily...
