Can we use prestoplayer for fluentcommunity? youtube sucks
can we use a decent player for courses? putting them on youtube is kinda bad.
I haven't done it, but others have. Search the chat for Presto Player and you can likely find out how they did it.
FWIW, I don't use YouTube. I use Bunny Streaming. That works well with Presto, too.
You can with local storage with Presto, however that would not be for a lot of video's. I have no experience with it (yet) but I would probably opt for Bunny Streaming or Cloudflare.
Hoping that one day Plyr can be used with Fcom or a good nativ player that does not allow download but does have multiple audio options.
Your question can be confusing because you're both referring to WHERE to host your video and HOW to play it. I love PrestoPlayer for video playlists but using it required the ability to add a "shortcode" into your course content and that option is not available, except for the above link. However, you still have the issue as to WHERE to store your videos, and storing them in the wordpress database is something we all know not to do. Once you choose where to host your videos, you will find the already provided way to play them.
Vimeo offers the ability to not let the video play unless the request is coming form a particular domain (yours). Many platforms, like bunny.net probably do too.
Mark HalvorsonΒ HTML is an option and it works (for local anyway), but that would only be useful for a handful of videos. Definitely not best practice. ;)
