Can we Masonry Gallery Layout for spaces?
I’d like to request a Masonry Gallery layout option for Fluent Community.
Currently, the gallery displays images as uniform squares. For an art-focused community, I’d like the option to:
- Preserve each image’s original aspect ratio and dimensions without cropping.
- Automatically arrange images in a tight, Pinterest-style masonry layout.
- Make the layout responsive across desktop and mobile.
- Keep the existing square/grid option available as an alternative.
This would make the gallery much better suited for displaying artwork with different portrait, landscape, and square dimensions.
Additionally, the current timeline layout displays two rows of four images, which looks quite untidy and makes some posts feel bloated. It would be much better to limit it to a maximum of one row with three images (one large square and two small rectangles), with any additional images showing a '+n' counter.
