Can we change our handle? I'd like to use @patgostek instead of the long version of my name @patryk-gostek. It would also be great if we could let users change that.
Pat Gostek Users names are core identity in WP - if you change the username in WP then it will changed also in fCommunity. Also for security reasons allowing users to change the username is not the best practise
Please read this post comments to get the idea. Unless we have UserNameAlias in fCommunity it might be good solution and then give the possibility to change UserNameAlias only but not the WP-Admin User Name.
ps. you can change it of course with PMA (PhpMyAdmin) if needed but I am pretty sure that this is not what you are looking for.
no, not what I'm looking for. don't think we need to change WP username, it can be an alias... but if the standard is that it generates the username based on off the email address, then it would be good to implement aliases, as some might use Johny83373 and are stuck with a quite weird handle.
I read the other post Mat and I think I would get an influx of unnecessary support tickets with people requesting changing their handle, which I could be eliminated by simply letting them change their handle themselves.
Pat Gostek, sooner or later there must be a way to handle UserNames so I believe fCommunity UserNameAlias could be a good way unless there is some other clever solution.

Debo Ogunrinde, Admin (only) can change the UserName in his profile - the same area for adding User Badge. Remember that the WP-Admin user will be changed if you change it here - as far as I can see.
