Bulk adding new members
I was told that I can bulk add users through FluentCRM which sure makes it easier adding members to a space. BUT to do so it seems all the users have had to atleast logged in once into Fluent Community. Or else these users will not show up in FluentCRM.
So two things.
- What about a multiselect drop down inside Fluent Community -> Members -> New Invite drop down? Add members in bulk. Currently the name and email shows up like so: name ([email protected]. I do not understand why the ( shows up before the email address.
-It would be helpful to just send the invite without having the user need to login first and click to join the various spaces. So that I can quickly just add users to spaces just after having created these in the WP users screen.
I am exploring using Fluent Community (and briefly FluentCRM) for two high school classes. I have installed the Pro version for both.

You can add new members through an automation in Fcrm adding the tags for the spaces. That way anyone subscribing after your bulk action gets added without an action on your part.
J V Thank you for the feedback. Not sure how to do this yet. I think I will need to do as I mentioned in the comment above. Login each user and click join for all the groups.
Paal Joachim Romdahl It is easier to do than you think right now. Just have a look in Fcrm at the automations. Create a new one and go through the options. No worries.
J V As I added 10 more students as users I expected these to show up in FluentCRM. I even logged out and in again. But these are not showing up at all.
Ahhh I have to Import the new Subscribers as they are not showing up automatically. Now I can select all the users and add them to each space in Fluent Community....
Paal Joachim Romdahl I think maybe you should go through all the settings first. You seem to do a lot of unnecessary work. I don't know how many students you have, but spending some time figuring out the system will save a lot of time eventually.

I am doing a mix of learning by doing as well as asking questions here. I have added two smaller classes. It has worked out pretty well.
I don't use FluentCRM so I can't comment much on that. However, based on how I'm guessing the link between FluentCRM and FluentCommunity works (I assume FCRM looks at the fcom_xprofile table), it makes some sense that the users must be 'active' (having logged in) in FC first.
However, as an alternative solution without using FluentCRM....I think you could automate this process even more using a tool like FlowMattic. If you have a CSV file that contains a list of new members including the FC space they should be added to, you could configure FlowMattic to read the CSV file, add each user into WordPress (this would optionally trigger sending them an email to set their password), and then add each user to the specified FC space.
Using this method, they would already be in the space the first time they login.
Thomas Oates Thank you. That is good to know about. At the moment I am looking for the easiest method. I think I will need to login as each new user then have the specific user join each space.
