#BUG - Topics in the post
Topics defined in the Space
I created three spaces and seven topics.
In the first space I defined three topics
In the second space I defined all the topics.
In the third space I defined four topics.
When I went to publish, the topics only appeared in the space that had defined all the topics.
In the two spaces that had defined some topics, when publishing, it does not appear to define them.
I am also experiencing it - and after you submit a post it ONLY shows up in All not in the individual topic it was posted in. In fact, no matter how many posts were submitted for a specific topic none of them are displayed in the individual topic only in the ALL. Hope it's an easy fix.
I just noticed... When a member goes to the specific group and discussion space, they can then create a post with title and description. The box that opens for them to type it does offer up to 5 topics to display their submitted post. When the member chooses a topic or topics from that drop down, then their post will display in the specific topic or topics chosen.
I initially clicked a topic then typed in the box and clicked post. That post only displayed in the All topics because no specific topic was chosen when typing in the box.
To clarify, members will need to know that they must choose the topic or topics for their post to be displayed in AFTER they type their title and description in the empty box and before they click POST. Otherwise their post will get lost in the All topics list. I will come up for air now......
The issue I observed was that when I did not activate all the topics available for that Space, it does not appear to select the desired topic.
Paulo Beneton, I discovered that in order for a post to display in the desired topic or topics it MUST be chosen during the creation of the post - 1. "Short title of this post", 2. "Write something here...", and 3. "Choose up to 5 topics (optional)". If #3 is not done, then the post will ONLY be displayed in "All". So Members must be told to choose the topic or topics while creating their post otherwise it may be lost among the All.
Note: Clicking on a specific topic BEFORE typing the post and submitting it does not display the post in that topic UNLESS it is chosen during its creation.
I suppose the topic listing across the page is to identify the types of topics to discuss to garner interest. Chosing the topic or topics a post is to displayed in MUST be done in the box while typing it.
Lori Bennett I understood the logic of the topic.
What I reported was a bug, when the space was not added to all topics.
The first illustrative image is not enabled for all those described.
Fixed on the dev version. We will release a new update today.
