Best theme for community homepage?
What do you all use to design/customize your homepage?
Kadence
William BeemΒ Thank you, William! Appreciate your suggestion! ππ
Hi William, I'm kind of new at this, but could you explain why this theme is better than say, Astra or Hello by Elementor?
Roberto Cornejo ReindlΒ I've been using Kadence for years and also own Astra. I find Kadence is easy to use, has constant development and improvements, and can adapt to most any type of site structure needed. Astra is also good, but I prefer Kadence better. some people had concerns that Astra is not keeping pace, but I haven't used it in a while. Never tried Hello, but I gave up Elementor years ago. I'm not a fan of the problems that come with page builders.

When it comes to Gutenberg-compatible themes, it would be great to find a theme with blocks that work for both dark and light themes. Ready-made blocks usually offer a choice of light or dark design, but they still won't switch together with FC. The exception is standard blocks, which are able to switch.
Artur AbakarovΒ Yeah, this is a great point! I was thinking about this too! The thing is, some users may prefer light and others may prefer dark more.
I think the best way to tackle this is to create a combination of both dark and light color schemes on the homepage so that visitors don't feel like a complete shift when they go to the community portal from the homepage.
The GSΒ Test the basic blocks; they switch together with FC. In this case, it may not matter which theme you choose, and you can manually create the desired design.
Artur AbakarovΒ Oh, I see! I re-read your comment and now I understand what you were trying to say! That would be awesome if it works. I'll definitely give it a try. Thanks so much for this awesome suggestion, Artur! :-)
