Automation of Access to Spaces in Fluent-Community via PayPal Subscriptions
We want to automate access to our Fluent-Community spaces based on a monthly PayPal subscription. The desired process is as follows:
- A member decides to purchase paid access to a space and clicks on the payment button.
- They are redirected to PayPal and complete the monthly payment.
- Upon successful payment confirmation, the member should be automatically added to the respective space.
- If the member cancels the subscription in PayPal, they should be automatically removed from the space.
For this setup, we are using the following tools:
- Fluent-Community-Pro
- Fluent-Forms-Pro
- Fluent-CRM-Pro
- Paymattic-Pro
Challenges in Implementation:
Unfortunately, we are facing challenges with this setup that prevent full automation:
Option 1 - Paymattic:
In Paymattic, there are payment statuses such as "Pending," "Paid," and "Canceled." However, these statuses do not trigger any actions in Fluent-CRM that could control access through tags.
Option 2 - Fluent-Forms:
Fluent-Forms offers the ability to control access to a space. However, the transmission of member data to Fluent-CRM and Fluent-Community only occurs when the status "Paid" is received from the payment provider.
The main issue arises when a member cancels their subscription in PayPal: This status change is not transmitted to Fluent-Forms, meaning no trigger is activated to remove the member from the space automatically.
We are looking for a solution or best practices to work around this issue and reliably automate the process. Has anyone successfully implemented a similar solution or has any ideas on how to achieve this?
Thank you for your support!
Hi AndrΓ©, perhaps you could have a look on Restrict Content Pro to manage your subscriptions. I think you can use PayPal as monthly payment. Then RCP creates your recurring subscription and you can send the info to FluentCRM (Subscription or Cancellation)
Houefa GbaguidiΒ Thank you very much, I'll take a look at that
Alternatively look at Memberpress, it handles Paypal Subscriptions and is integrated with Fluent CRM
just use woo subscriptions and wp fusion to sync fluentcrm tags for those who purchased a subscription, then sync that tags with space access.
Tindaro BattagliaΒ woo-commerce has an integration with Fluent CRM. Is this integration sufficient, do you have any experience with it?
AndrΓ© SalierΒ WooCommerce and FluentCRM integration is solid in my experience. Has all the relevant triggers. So it should work.
AndrΓ© SalierΒ not for memberships. If u use variable subscriptions (so that u can create for example monthly and yearly subscriptions) thereβs no way to add tag in fluenctcrm if not using wp fusion
Tindaro BattagliaΒ Is the workflow I described possible with the free version of wp fusion?
