Anticipating the next FluentCommunity Update...

When should we expect FluentCommunity update and what should we be expecting? Please consider implementing a lot of the request from the community this time. There are a lot of request on the user submitted tab on the Roadmap. Thank you.

I’m not sure that using such language is very productive. The fact that the Ninja team listens to customers is a good thing for both them and us.

Writing β€œThank you for considering responding to most of the community’s requests this time” is not acceptable! Ninja has already delivered the product you purchased, and everything else is by no means a contractual obligation.

Hi D@vidΒ ,

I understand your perspective, but I think there may have been a misunderstanding. My post wasn’t meant as an attack or criticismβ€”it was simply a question and feedback from the standpoint of a customer who has also recommended FluentCommunity to my clients.

Some of my clients are waiting on certain highly-voted feature requests, and naturally, they ask me about timelines. Since I don’t have direct insight, the best I can do is to ask here so I know what to tell them.

If the current features already meet your needs, that’s great. But for some of us, knowing what’s coming next is essential for serving clients and planning ahead. For example, do you think it’s okay to spend time and money building a custom feature for a client, only for the same feature to be released in the next update? That could be avoided if there’s a clear and communicated roadmap.

I truly appreciate the Ninja team for the excellent work they’ve done so far, and my intention isn’t to diminish that in any way.

All I wanted is clarity. Just as I have respected your opinion here, I’d hope that next time, you don't jump into conclusion, trying to attack mine.

Thank you.

I think we've been a bit spoiled by the rapid development so far. You only need to see the progress, or lack thereof, of a similar product to see how lucky we have it.

They announced an update would be happening in 1-2 weeks and that was a few days ago.

Thank you for your comment. The team reads through each and every post that shows up in this community. They will go through and see if or how feature requests fit in or not. Over time products will be improved in part based on feedback they receive.

Dont flame me, new here to the FluentCommunity plugin (though I have been using most of the other Fluent products for a bit and love the products. I think the biggest issue really is a lack on communication as to WHAT is going on behind the scenes and what is coming. The roadmap page is full of requests but no answers or timeline as to when.

The plugin seems like it was based on Circle.so community (which is imo, the best community setup and why I am waiting patiently for a bit more polish before launching a live paid community using FComm because it does feel a bit unfinished.

I say this not as a criticism but as someone who runs a GHL Agency and integrates WP websites who is looking at community solutions such as Circle, Skool, GHL, and FComm for something that accomplishes what I (and my clients) are trying to do. Circle right now is the best option, but it adds yet another outside tool, loses integration and adds expense. FComm and GHL modeled from Circle, but both are lacking some the core functionality to make it useful and UX friendly.

Just the fact that there is no placeholder when viewing threads is annoying as hell and a deal breaker. Nothing worse than scrolling through 100 topics, opening that thread and then losing your place when going back and having to do it all over again. New users to the Comm want to go back through old threads and read through them. Don't make that experience annoying.

I love that the devs are reading and taking notes, but they are not speaking frequently enough as to what is actually being addressed and what they are working on (or I am not seeing it). While the foundation is pretty solid, its all the little things that are being requested that will make the product a lot more polished and inline with what users are expecting.

Hoping the coming update will address some of the core features and "issues" people have been requesting. I have an FComm 75% setup but am waiting for a better user experience for my people before it goes live.

warren m.Β "Just the fact that there is no placeholder when viewing threads is annoying as hell and a deal breaker. This is one thing that NEEDS to change with FC when using LIST view.

Users on my site are scrolling through Lists, clicking a post then having to re scroll through everything again to find where they were.

Timeline view with Modals enabled adds a half fix as they don't lose their place in the feed, BUT timeline view is not useable with some Video posts such as those from Dailymotion and other sites where Video embeds play upon page load.

Video post centric sites are then forced to use LIST view, but this then gives the issue of users losing their places in Feeds upon viewing post.

Needs urgent fix by enabling Modal view on Lists as well as Timeline views. Until then, the more a site growd, the more un user friendly it becomes...
