Anonymous Posting ETA?
Hey Shahjahan Jewel bhai, It's important to have an anonymous posting feature especially for health and wellness community, When users don't want to share their conditions publicly. Can you please tell me the timeframe when we're gonna have this in FC. Thanks
We don’t have any plan for such features in the core.
Shahjahan Jewel bummer. I'd been kind of waiting for something like this to launch something. I have to figure it out. I also need anonymous posting for almost all of my community spaces. I'm currently using Signal as an option but I'd much rather have everything in the community.
What I did in my experimenting was to change the first name of a user and also change the avatar so that it becomes anonymous. As I plan on using Fluent Community for a school project with two classes. I will need the school email addresses and then add them to the community and then tell them to upload an avatar they want to use and change their names so that they can more freely post. Without anyone else knowing whom has posted a comment.
Paal Joachim Romdahl Thanks for sharing 🙏🏽. Will try this approach.
Paal Joachim Romdahl I let users change their profiles, too. But sometimes people who are active and public in the community ALSO need to post anonymously.
For example, I have a group coaching program and all the people know each other because we meet weekly (via Zoom). However, sometimes they want to discuss something in the larger, more public spaces but they don't want people to know it's them. Currently, they have to send me a private message and then I add it to the appropriate space.
Hi Wendy Shoef
I tried using ChatGPT, but it seems that adding PHP code snippets is difficult as Fluent Community uses Vue code. Here is the thread I have with ChatGPT. https://chatgpt.com/share/68b29c28-27ac-8013-8964-26af22b415e6
I am adding this as I am thinking that someone from the team might need to update the API docs for Fluent Community making it easier to create Code Snippets even though the code is made through Vue.
Paal Joachim Romdahl I think I'm gonna create a fluent form and then either use FluentCRM automations or FlowMattic. I don't know enough about working with Vue and not sure I want to learn it (I do a lot of other things and although I love me some PHP, I'm not interested in learning a new thing).
Nitin Yawalkar FlowMattic would be easier than FluentCRM, right? If I use FCRM, I know I'd have to create multiple tags to accomplish this and then remove tags. With FlowMattic this could work with any form theoretically, right (although not sure if there is a Breakdance form integration and that's what I use).
