Android App for Fluent Community

Hello. I downloaded a Fluent Community App on Android that was developed by LazyCoders LLC and I haven't been able to find anything about it on here or the Addon Community. After installation, the first thing it asks for is to "Scan QR code from your WordPress plugin to connect Mobile App" and I can't find a FluentCommunity QR code (I assume that is what it is asking for). I'd appreciate help either in finding the QR code or pointing me to where I would find the answer and more abou this app (assuming it is legit!)

Ross FCA

I think it's in development and you're not finding anything about it because it's not ready yet. I'd just hold on until they actually announce it.

Shahjahan Jewel

Wait for the official announcement from LazyCoders LLC. They will announce here. I have talked with them and they are kind of the final stage of the testing.

Dragan STAMENKOVIC

I'm already in contact with them. I'm also waiting for more technical information because there are other methods to create the application.

Dragan STAMENKOVIC

If you're interested in a native iPhone, Android, and iPad app, please contact me privately and we'll discuss. This is a product I'll be launching soon as well. Shahjahan JewelΒ If you want additional news, send me a DM ;)

Juraj HudΓ‘k

Dragan STAMENKOVIC Do you already have a beta version available for testing?

Dragan STAMENKOVIC

Juraj HudΓ‘kΒ

It is currently being validated on Apple and Google. If you want, I can share video in DM

Juraj HudΓ‘k

Dragan STAMENKOVICΒ OK, please send me video. Thank you.

Mateusz Gola

Dragan STAMENKOVICΒ  I'm also interested in it. Please share the video.

Cindy Miller

Thanks for the updates and opportunities. I have an event this month, but sounds like it may be a while. Though I'd be happy to be a beta tester.

Hello Everyone,

We’re thrilled about the interest in a mobile app for Fluent Community! Right now, we’re getting ready to launch our beta version.

Starting Monday, you’ll be able to try the beta app. Your feedback will be really valuable and will help us make the app even better.

This app is built to connect with multiple communities. Just download and install the mobile plugin, scan the QR code inside the plugin, and you’ll be connected.

In October, we’ll be launching our flagship product, "Appza." With Appza, you can create a white-labeled app for Fluent Community, as well as other plugins. It’s a drag-and-drop mobile app builder packed with customization features and a variety of themes. Best of all, Appza handles the entire processβ€”including building and publishing your app to the Apple App Store and Google Playβ€”so you don’t need to invest in costly hardware or software.

We can’t wait to work with you all to make WordPress more accessible for your community on mobile.

Cheers,
Noor

Noor KhanΒ That’s great news! Do you plan also version for IPadOS?

Noor Khan

Szymon JakubowskiΒ We plan to bring an iPad version in the future, but it may take a little while. Right now, our priority is to launch the beta for iPhone and Android and making these apps better based on user feedback.

Once that’s done, we’ll shift focus to the iPad version. Thanks so much for your patience and support!

Szymon Jakubowski

Noor KhanΒ Thank you! Smartphone’s app is great for me, but tablet version would be a dream - I have piano community and courses, and many of them are using a tablet playing piano :) I’m waiting for your mobile app like for Santa Claus, every day looking outside if it is coming :)

Noor Khan

Szymon JakubowskiΒ We are also very excited to launch the beta app.

Hope I am not driving the expectation too high! Please do keep in mind, we will still be running a beta and there are a lot of space to improve πŸ™‚

Szymon Jakubowski

Noor KhanΒ Not at all! I’ll do my best to help you to improve your product :)

Noor KhanΒ Great news!

I’m really excited to soon (very soon!) test the beta.

Just for quick context: we’ve been building our entire community for months, and from the very beginning, a mobile app was absolutely essential for our project. While waiting for this release, we couldn’t simply stop, so we explored several web-to-app services, tested a lot, and finally managed to launch our app on both the App Store and Google Play.

However, we’ve now spent over five weeks trying to configure custom push notifications per user. As you know, community platforms are far more successful when users receive notifications for mentions, comments, and other personalized interactions.

The development work has been exhaustive and extremely demanding. For a small team like mine, without being specialists in this area, it has been very draining. That’s why this solution would be such a huge breakthrough β€” not only for us, but also for many other communities who now understand just how complex and resource-intensive this kind of development really is.

That’s why this update is such exciting news β€” we’ve literally been waiting months for it.

Two very specific questions:

  1. Can I install the plugin and fully test the beta without affecting my current live community?
  2. Do you plan to include personalized push notifications for each community member?

Thank you so much in advance, and wishing the very best success for this project

Noor Khan

David Badilla SalazarΒ

Thank you for your incredible enthusiasm for the Fluent Community mobile app betaβ€”we’re excited too! Many of the community users have shared interest on building their communities with anticipation of a native mobile app, and we’re grateful for their patience as we prepared this release. This week, we’re thrilled to invite all of you toΒ test the very first beta version.

This one is a universal app for Fluent Community .Β It is not dedicated, custom-built app for one single community alone. Once installed, the app will let you scan, and connect to any Fluent Community. If an user is in multiple communities, they will see a list of available communities to choose from.

Testing the beta app will not affect your current, live communityβ€”you can try it out without risk to your existing setup.

We know some of you have been looking for a custom app and are eager for a branded, white-label solution. That’s why we’re also launchingΒ Appza, a no-code mobile app builder tailor made for WordPress, currently supports Fluent Community, WooCommerce and TutorLMS. We are constantly integrating with other plugins as well.

With Appza, you’ll be able to drag, drop, and customize every part of your appβ€”colors, layout, featuresβ€”then preview it live within your appza plugin from wordpress admin panel. With a premium license, you can then build native iOS and Android apps, and even deploy them to the stores using your own credentialsβ€”no CLI or expensive hardware or software or mobile dev skills required.

Timeline for Appza wordpress plugin launch is currently mid-to-late October; Stay tuned for more details as we get closer.

This is just the beginning. We’re committed to make Fluent Community the best platform in WordPress based communities for both web and mobile and your feedback will guide every step.Β Please share the beta with your team, peers, and fellow community leadersβ€”let’s make this a true community effort.

Noor Khan

Szymon JakubowskiΒ Thanks so much for your kind words and support. We look forward eagerly to work with all of you and your continued support πŸ™‚

Cointacter

Noor KhanΒ will it have webview for pages that are outside of fluent community?

Noor Khan

Rosvaldas NudasΒ yes, if it is an outside link created through Fluent Community settings (ie: tabs), it will open in the mobile default browser. If the link is inside a post or comment, it will open as web view inside the app.

Cindy Miller

Noor KhanΒ Great news, but where is the QR code in FluentCommunity required to scan before connecting to the app?

Noor Khan

Hello Cindy MillerΒ , we have not officially launched yet. Plan is to launch it in a day or two. We will provide detailed instructions when we do. Thanks for your patience.

Juraj HudΓ‘k

Hi Noor Khan, I'm looking forward to what solution you'll bring. I also happened to find your application already published on the AppStore, so I thought it was already fully functional and I would be able to connect, but as Cindy Miller wrote, it didn't work and now I understand why you haven't launched it officially yet. It would definitely be beneficial to have it written there. I also signed up for the waiting list and I'm really curious. We plan to solve primary localized support for clients in Slovakia and in the future in the Czech Republic, so if you're interested in localization to SK/CZ, just write. We are currently also participating in the localization of all Fluent plugins, great solutions, I'm looking forward to it.

Noor Khan

Hello Juraj HudΓ‘kΒ , We will be officially launching in a day or two. Unfortunately, we cannot have it written there as in that case Apple or Android will not approve the app. It's a little tricky to time both app and plugin launch together, but we are almost there now.

We currently have EN support only, but will definitely need your support for localization, as you have offered πŸ™‚
