Adding the portal/forum
Sorry another quick question... can I add the plugin to my existing wordpress website and keep the existing pages that are set up, design etc? Or would it wipe existing styles (Astra/Elementor)
Yep. No problem. The community “design” will only apply to /portal/.
However, you can use the fluent community templates to show both the header and side bar in ordinary pages (eg.: Elementor ones).
Yeah, easy peasy, I have the same setup and works fine. You can apply the Community template to any WP page (just remember to hide the WP sidebar from that page, otherwise it gets tucked underneath the content; in my theme it is a setting per page). I rearranged the header menu according to the COmmunity header (like hambruger menu left side etc.) to have a consistent look and feel.
