We need to talk! Seriously, what is this about?
After purchasing 50 lifetime licenses for Fluent Community, I discovered that the course system doesn't include quizzes. Which means: no learner evaluation, no progress tracking. That's... surprising, to say the least.
Similarly, it's impossible to natively manage different access durations for the same course. For example: 6 months of access for one type of user (e.g. individuals), 12 months for another (e.g. professionals). Basic stuff, no?
I asked questions in the community space and got various answers:
For quizzes:
- "It will be integrated one day..."
- "Use FluentForm."
For access duration:
- "Use FluentCRM."
Yesterday, since this is now becoming urgent, I decided to give it a go and try to patch things up using FluentCRM and FluentForm. I bought a pro version of both plugins, not knowing if they'll actually solve the problem.
First observation: At Ninja, unless I missed something, you can’t buy two plugins in one go. You have to purchase one, then go back and buy the other. That’s a pretty odd purchase flow.
Second observation: FluentForm quizzes don’t really fit within Fluent Community. Sure, they can be embedded—but the results and practice time aren't integrated into FC. These are more like data collection forms than actual learning assessments.
As for FluentCRM, I still have to figure out how it could possibly manage course access duration, which will cost me more time—on top of the four months I already waited just to be able to properly translate FluentCommunity.
To be honest, I didn’t need a 50-site license. And this is the first time I’ve spent this much on a plugin. But I wanted to trust you, support your work, and invest in your vision. That’s also why I went ahead and bought FluentCRM and FluentForm—to try and compensate for the major gaps (quizzes and access durations) in FC.
I know development takes time and money—and money doesn’t grow on trees. But a plugin like Fluent Community should natively include quizzes and access duration management. These are not “nice-to-haves”; they’re essential features.
Just to double-check, I even asked ChatGPT what core features a course plugin should include. Guess what’s at the top of the list? Quizzes.

Maybe Fluent Community was launched a little too early—but I get it, revenue needs to come in, bills need to be paid, teams need to be fed.
Ladies and gentlemen, please don’t take this as an attack on your work or its quality. If I thought it wasn’t worth it, I would have asked for a refund and never looked back. Instead, I bought more plugins. I believe in what you’re building—and that’s exactly why I’m taking the time to write this.
But let’s be honest: Fluent Community is currently missing some key features for even basic usage.

D@vid , the plugin is called FluentCOMMUNITY, it is not a complex LMS. You can do access duration easy with FluentCRM automation. Add to space, wait x time, remove from space.
Also, it IS a new plugin, and new features are added like monthly. Jewel stated also that it would remain important to keep the plugin fast and simple. All of this is great work from his team. Just be patient :-)

I think there is a serious communication gap or your perspective of FluentCommunity. From the very first, my statement about the course module was super clear. The course module will always be super simple. It will never replace all the features of an LMS plugin like LearnDash or Lifter. Then what's the aim of it? It will serve people who need a simple LMS solution just like what people have in Circle or skool.
Now, do we ever have quizzes? of course we will have it and it will be shipped as soon as it's ready. For now, I really don't have an exact date but most probably within this quarter. Please note, it will not be super advanced but maybe we will follow the circle here.
Now, why do you need other plugins like FluentCRM or Fluent Forms? You don't need those plugins to use FluentCommunity. But those plugins will add more features, just integrations. As it's from the same company, we prioritize the integration and most of our customers are already familiar with these tools. We have added webhook integrations so people can integrate with any tools they want.
We are only 6 months old and in this short period, you can see how much progress our team has made with the plugin. We are seeing lots of customers from SAAS solutions like Circle or WP solutions like BuddyBoss is moving to FluentCommunity to upgrade the experience while saving 1000s of $ per year. This is just a start, my goal is to build a solid, high-performance solution for creators to empower them.
We check every feature request and then, after R&D, we make the hard choice about which features will be implemented and which not. We answer these questions:
- Will feature-x hurt the performance?
- Will it add value to the majority of our customers?
- Is it aligned with our long-term goal for the product?
- Will it add lots of complexity to the UI/UX? Can we solve it?
If we are satisfied with these answers, we go ahead and schedule for the devs. This is the hardest thing I have learned in my 15+ years of IT career.
I was talking about these with Manoj Sharma yesterday in a call, and maybe he can add a few more lines about it.

Guys, I agree that access duration management should be included. I also asked this since the early bird sales. I can understand that quiz options would be an advanced feature but access duration should be basic.

Fluent Community was never intended to be a full-fledged LMS like LearnDash or TutorLMS, but rather a lightweight solution focused on community-driven learning—similar to platforms like Circle. That said, the need for native quizzes and flexible access durations has definitely been heard and is already on the radar. As the CEO Shahjahan Jewel mentioned, quizzes are coming soon, likely within this quarter, and while they may not be advanced at launch, they’ll serve the needs of most community-style learning setups.
Regarding integrations: while FluentCRM and FluentForms are not mandatory, they do provide deeper automation and flexibility for those looking to go beyond the built-in features. The open nature of Fluent Community, including webhooks and plugin compatibility, is intended to empower users like us to extend the platform based on your unique needs.
You’re absolutely right—building a robust solution takes time, and the last 6 months have been focused on laying down the foundation. The pace of development so far has been impressive, and what’s ahead looks even more promising

I would like to offer an important clarification: I am not trying to compare F.C with existing solutions—simply because I don’t know any! Although I am a trainer for adults with a specialization in andragogy, I’ve never needed to use any specific platform, as I have always developed my own solutions.
It is precisely my (overly) long experience in the field that led me to raise this discussion about features.
Once again, my intention was constructive, though perhaps the tone was not ideal. It's always tricky to communicate in writing, as emotions and tone of voice don’t come through.
