Question about FluentBooking vs Amelia booking

Hi community!

I'm going to build soon a WordPress site with a booking system, one site with a feature to book video calls and another site with a feature to book bodywork treatments. I have currently a license for Amelia booking, but I haven't so far used it personally. I'm considering whether to build the new sites and booking systems with Amelia or to purchase licenses to FluentBooking.

What would you consider the biggest advantages of FluentBooking over Amelia?

For your two use cases, I would choose FluentBooking.

It supports video meetings through Google Meet, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams, along with round-robin and team bookings. It also supports in-person, phone, online, and custom locations, so the bodywork site can use practitioners as hosts and treatments as booking events.

You can add treatment-specific questions, recurring appointments, availability rules, buffers, reminders, payments, and multiple locations. Its integration with Fluent Forms, FluentCRM, and FluentCart is also a strong advantage if you already use the Fluent ecosystem.

Amelia is worth considering if you specifically need advanced salon or clinic features such as shared rooms/equipment, treatment packages, deposits, extras, or a multi-service cart. If those are not essential, FluentBooking should handle both sites well with one consistent system.

Seamless integration with fluent ecosystem.

However, what does amelia miss for you to purchase yet another license?

If you have amelia elite, you have API access and a native phone app.

Amelia is another level, I cannot compare it with Fluent Booking

Each plugin has its own pros and cons. I find Amelia a bit too complex for a beginner to use, while Fluent Booking could still stand to improve its feature set. Both are very good, but given your specific needs, I would recommend Fluent Booking. That said, I’d argue that the real issue isn’t necessarily which plugin you choose, but rather how you qualify your leads. Often, without even realizing it, you lose a significant number of leads before they ever reach the booking stageβ€”whether due to technical glitches, scheduling conflicts, or a lack of clarity. That’s precisely why I created Booking Leads; it completely flips the traditional system on its head, all while still working alongside tools like Amelia, Calendly, and others. I invite you to give it a try! β˜€οΈI’m looking forward to seeing your online calendarβ€”whichever one you choose. The important thing is to just give one a try and start booking your first appointments. Because, ultimately, that’s all that matters. Action -> Results πŸ‘

Start your setup with Amelia and only add Fluent Booking if you find you need something more. I own Trafft (cloud version of Amelia made by Amelia team) and Fluent Booking.
