Is the Fee Recovery feature available in Paymattic?

Fee Recovery

Credit Card processing fees can take away a big chunk of your online donations. This means less money goes to your cause. Why not ask your donors to further help your cause by asking them to take care of the payment processing fees? That's where the Fee Recovery add-on comes into play. The GiveWP Fee Recovery add-on works with a variety of payment gateways and has per-form settings so you can toggle it on and off wherever you'd like.

No, there’s no dedicated “Fee Recovery” feature in Paymattic. However, there is a cool workaround, and it’s something we use ourselves.

Let me tell you how:

  1. Add the Donation Progress Item to your form and configure it as you like.
  2. Then add the Checkbox Field and remove the field title. Add a checkbox item with "I want to cover the donation processing fee."
  3. Add the "Dynamic Payment Item" field and calculate the amount you want your donors to cover. Your base price is the donation progress item. Calculate around it.
  4. Then conditionally render the "Dynamic Payment Item" field for the Checkbox Field.

And it's done. It should look like the attached screenshot.
