WP Social Ninja: Add a shortcode into Greeting box to show inline Fluent form

I have a client whom wants to use a chat plugin but they only want it offline. Having a contact form available for anyone to fill out. I was thinking of adding a tutorial for this aspect of WP Social Ninja but support told me that the plugin does not offer this feature.

So I went thinking about this feature. Currently there is a Greeting Message. This should be split into Online Greeting Message and Offline Greeting Message. As the message will chance depending on the on or off state of the chat.

As one might write: We are available and will be with you in a moment - when chat is on.
One might write: We are currently away please leave a message -then a embeded fluent forms is seen- user sends the form to get help when the chat is off.

So two aspects that would help alot.
- An online and an offline greeting message with the possibility with different messages. That is directed toward the on or off aspect.
- Being able to add a shortcode for a form. Making it possible to send a message.

Have you considered using Tawk.to?

It’s free, it has forms, ticketing, auto-reply, online and offline, forms, dashboard, native app, AI agent that you can train with what ever you want (docs, offer, checkout URL…)

We used to have that, and worked incredibly well. Actually, the agent was closing sales too πŸ˜‚

I think you may give it a try.

Sadly, Fluent support does not have Chat…

Jorge de los ReyesΒ Good idea. I vaguely remember doing chat research quite a while ago and came across Tawk.to. Thank you for the reminder..:)

I think, chats on site are super useful.

There are even more advanced options that allow you to create funnels.

I’ll just say, that, on some sites, we had users endlessly talking to the chat πŸ’¬; and on some projects we decided to close it, and leave a good and segmented form (because as we deducted from the AI conversations: many felt that the issue was resolved… and then decided they do not need human contact).

It was difficult to retrieve contact with people that used the chat tbh (lots of post-no shows).

But it wasn’t the case for traditional form sending πŸ˜„

Hope you can also gather interesting insights: of course I am sure it will depend on the sector πŸ’ͺ and on the training of the agent.

We entered some Fluent Booking URL so as the agent can actually understand when it was a good moment to offer a booking.

I actually made this: https://gist.github.com/paaljoachim/1c271f6fa1ce4151b74f88ee3d76cbca

As the customer needed a chat bubble with only an offline form
I am testing it on a dev site: https://bluewinddesign.com/

I shows a chat bubble with a Fluent Form shortcode in it.
It took a few hours working with ChatGPT.

Paal Joachim RomdahlΒ Looks so cool!

it reminds me of a personal chatbot I tried to build up from scratch using Chat GPT πŸ˜„

So cool to have it integrated directly with a FF!
