General Fluent Forms with Ninja tables

I am new to Fluent Forms and have some Wordpress Experience. I am trying to get my head around how under wordpress admin posts pages integrate with fluent forms. Is there a connection to wp posts or does fluent forms not use wp_ tables at all. For instance if my theme has an editor that I can use shortcodes and fluent forms integrations for pages, how does WP posts get involved. Do I need to create a hook or action to populate its tables, for instance easy searches based on categories or tags. Or do I compeletely have to customize specific searches into these new tables I create from Ninja Tables. Thanks
