Free public betas: SnapWeb and ShopiChain plugins

A few people have asked me to share the plugins I’ve been building for my own site, so I’ve decided to release the current public betas of SnapWeb and ShopiChain for free.

Neither brand nor its main website is properly ready yet. Normally I would wait longer, but these plugins already solve real problems for me and can be seen working on Cointacted.com. Since people asked, I thought it would be better to let others test and use them now.

SnapWeb

• SnapWeb Auth provides standalone login, registration, password recovery, account security, sessions, privacy tools and optional two-factor authentication. It can also integrate with FluentCommunity’s SPA experience.
• SnapWeb Cookies provides cookie consent, service classification, script and embed blocking, privacy signals and optional consent evidence. It works on regular WordPress and can adapt to FluentCommunity navigation.

ShopiChain

• ShopiChain Core provides independent commerce contracts and an optional customer-dashboard foundation.
• ShopiChain Wishlist provides multiple private, link-only and public wishlists, including optional guest wishlists.
• ShopiChain FluentCommunity presents shops, products, carts, checkout, customer dashboards and wishlists inside the FluentCommunity experience. FluentCart is required for commerce functionality.

You do not need to register with SnapWeb or ShopiChain, create an account, enter a license key or activate anything remotely. Download the plugins, test them and use them if everything works correctly on your setup.

They work for me, but these are still public betas. Please back up your site and ideally test on staging first. PHP 8.1–8.4 is currently validated; PHP 8.5 is not yet supported.

I’ll keep publishing updates, and you’ll be able to update your installations as the plugins improve. If you want to help, please collect bugs, error messages, compatibility findings or useful ideas and report them through the GitHub repositories.

I also plan to thank helpful contributors with license giveaways and perhaps some contests later. There is nothing additional to register for right now.

Tomorrow I’m looking forward to beginning work on the proper SnapWeb and ShopiChain sites—and, of course, continuing to nurture Cointacted itself.
