π FluentCart 1.5.0 - Advanced Variations Are Here, Built Into the Core
This is one of our biggest releases yet, and I have been waiting a long time to share it.
Some products are never just one thing. A shirt is a size and a color and a fabric. A laptop is a storage tier and a memory tier. Selling those properly has always been one of the hardest things to do in WordPress eCommerce. Until today.
Say hello to Advanced Variations. A completely new way to build, price, and sell multi-attribute products in FluentCart. We spent months on this, designing every screen from scratch and rebuilding it again and again until the most complex catalog task in eCommerce felt effortless.
And the part I am proudest of: it is built into the core. For every store. No add-on, no Pro gate. Free.
Here is what it does:
- It does the multiplication for you. A t-shirt in six sizes, four colors, and three fabrics is 72 combinations, each with its own price, stock, and photo. Pick your option sets and FluentCart generates every combination in one pass, ready for prices and stock. The kind of complex product that used to push people toward heavier platforms now stays fast and self-hosted.
- Build your options once, reuse them everywhere. The new Attribute Manager lets you define an option set one time and reuse it across your whole catalog. It is searchable, drag-to-reorder, and ships with eight ready-made sets: Color, Size, Material, Storage, Memory, Weight, Style, and Pattern. Color even comes with real swatches, so a brand-new store can build a variable product within minutes.
- A storefront that only shows combinations that exist. As a shopper makes one choice, the dead-end options stop being selectable, so they never pick something you do not make and hit an error at checkout. Colors and images show as proper swatches, picking a color swaps the product image, and the whole selector works by keyboard.
- Bulk editing that actually scales. Group Bulk Edit lets you update price, stock, or status across an entire variant group in one action. Want to raise every Cotton variant by two dollars? Select the group, type the number, done. Changes stack in a save bar so nothing saves until you say so. Groups open like an accordion and rows load as you expand them, so hundreds of combinations never bury you.
- Everyday control over single combinations. One color sells out while the rest stay in stock? Flip that one combination to inactive and switch it back on later, with its price and history intact.

This is the kind of capability that almost always sits behind a paywall or a separate plugin. We built it into FluentCart core, free, because that is the direction we keep moving: more of what a real store needs, native, fast, and yours to run.
Go build something with it. I cannot wait to see what you make π
PS: Posting this on general so everyone can see how much value FluentCart is adding to the core free version.
Awesome!! Thank you for your vision and hard work!
Awesome and nice work. It's also very generous to include it for free for everyone. I hope this will get even more people to use FluentCart.
Amazing ! thanks for the great job Fluent team ππ
Shahjahan Jewel Nice work! As you may know, we have been working on the beta version for several weeks, and it seems some fixes were not included in this release. For instance, the selected variations are missing from the side cart, checkout, and emails as they should be (see attached image). Do you know why this might be?
Nicolas DΒ didn't check the emails but i see it in the sidecart and checkout
Manuel MΓΌllerΒ We will look into it and see how we can imrove the texts and UI.
Another great job... Well done
Excellent! Finally π. I'd like to know if this is fully integrated with the Product Bundles feature. In a bundled product containing items with variations, can the customer select their preferred variation from the items the store owner allows before clicking "Add to Cart"?
Therefore, the price may or may not vary depending on the previously configured settings. Something like this (attached images). I am taking as a reference one of the best known, WPClever Product Bundlles https://wpclever.net/downloads/product-bundles/.
I used it on my site https://xera.pe/ but want to migrate it to FluenCart. I was waiting for an update like this.
Erick LaureanoΒ Haven't checked if that's possible now but it would be a logical feature to have.
Is there an official MCP for FluentCart to add products and variations?
Deividas PaulauskasΒ we have an MCP but don't have tools to create the Products / Variations. Maybe we will improve that add that.
Shahjahan JewelΒ that would be great as adding products is usually the biggest time pits for customers when they don't have proper CSVs for importing.
