The less I say about this update the better
Darren CowleyΒ I appreciate every new release of each product, even if they donβt have some functionality Iβm hoping for. Itβs an incredibly difficult thing theyβre doing.
Charlotte DΒ Great, but when you purchased at launch based on the promises of the founder of functionality that's still missing and claim that this is the biggest release when the main feature is only compatible with FluentCart then you should expect some feedback.
There is simply no transparency here of what the roadmap is, which features are coming, when they'll be coming etc.
So by all means celebrate this!
Darren CowleyΒ any specific feature talking about that was promised to you?
As I mentioned in the main post, recurring commission will be available with other commerce plugins as well.
Shahjahan JewelΒ Hi Shahjahan, yes the Solid Affiliate migration for which i supplied you with the files long before launch.
Darren CowleyΒ Solid Affiliate Migration is already available. https://fluentaffiliate.com/blog/fluentaffiliate-v1-2-0/

Raiyan MarzanΒ It's incomplete, can't migrate Custom Slugs, lifetime customers. This has already been raised in here.
Darren CowleyΒ And your comments are achieving exactly what?
Helmar RudolphΒ if you want to continue to fanboy please feel free to carry on, let the rest of us with genuine concerns raise them, what makes my opinion backed by fact any less valid than yours?
Great that youβve got a feature which was a priority for you. Enjoy!
Darren CowleyΒ We can't migrate the features that does not exist in FluentAffiliate like Custom Slugs, lifetime customers etc. Maybe you should continue use SolidAffiliate until we have all of those features. Please note, I don't when we will have those exact features as we have a different vision than other plugins. We want to keep it simple and make it powerful on our own way. I have no idea what lifetime customers means in Solid Affiliate.
Darren CowleyΒ I believe Helmar RudolphΒ mentioned your first comment: "The less I say about this update the better" -> Which really does not help the community or us. You can always create your own thread with your feature request or open a support ticket for any bugs or issues.
Shahjahan JewelΒ Lifetime Customers is effectively recurring commissions set for a period of time, if an affiliate introduces a customer then they will continue to earn on their future purchases for a period of time set by the admin. These are stored in a table by Solid Affiliate and you can idnetify these within the user page in wordpress.
Darren CowleyΒ are you sure lifetime doesnt work with fluentaffiliate? U sure it only gives commission to the referral for a single purchase, and any later purchases wont give commissions?
CointacterΒ Would love to know!
Thank you, esp for the bank payout feature! Step by step towards new heights.
Great! Question about commission structure:
If an affiliate earns a 20% commission on the first sale (how I had it before enabling recurring payments), and then 8% commission on the next 6 recurring payments, how is this applied exactly?
To clarify, does this mean:
1.The first payment pays 20% commission, and the following 6 recurring payments each pay 8% commission
(total: 1Γ20% + 6Γ8%)
or
2.The first payment pays 20% commission, and the following 5 recurring payments pay 8% commission
(total: 1Γ20% + 5Γ8% = 6 payments in total)
or
3.The first payment and the 6 recurring pay both 8% commission?
My assumption is that the correct setup is option 1 (20% on the first payment, followed by 6 recurring payments at 8%), but Iβd like to confirm.
Gee AdriaanszΒ the first patent always calculated as regular and then you can set what % for renewal and for how many renewals. So if you set 6 so they will get the first payment as regular 20% rate and then next 5 recurring payments at 8% rate.
Is it ever going to work with Paymattic?
Shahjahan JewelΒ Can you address this, please?
Sarajoy PickholtzΒ I think we already have integration with paymattic. Is there anything that is not working with paymattic?
Shahjahan JewelΒ LOL, you were not reading my mind. π€£
I want to know if I'll ever be able to do recurring commissions with Paymattic.
Could you add the option to enable multiple payment methods simultaneously? In this case, PayPal and bank account payments.
Eusebiu OprinoiuΒ Noted. Thank you!
Raiyan MarzanΒ can you add the option for a custom payout per affiliate?
For example, when an affilliate asks for a payout, I want to be able to payout a certain amount for this person only, not his whole outstanding amount
Natascha VantuykomΒ I will look into the feasibility of this. Thank you!
Raiyan MarzanΒ thanks
Thanks this is really a big update
Thank you for this update! π
Unfortunately, for my use case, one very important feature is still missing: lifetime referrals.
I run free challenges where I later sell paid courses, and from there also offer 1:1 work.
At the moment, Fluent Affiliate does not (at least to my knowledge) allow connecting a referred user to their referrer through a free registration.
Because of this, I have to track the entire process manually:
- who joined the free challenge through which affiliate
- whether that person later purchases a course and/or 1:1 work
- and who should receive the affiliate commission
With this workflow, Fluent Affiliate unfortunately becomes unusable for me.
Is there any plan to add functionality where Fluent Affiliate:
- connects users to affiliates also via free registrations
- and preserves that connection long-term / for the lifetime of the account?
This would be extremely valuable from an affiliate marketing perspective, especially for business models with a longer customer journey.
Thank you in advance! β€οΈπ
Armin PajulaΒ yeah this should definitely be something fluentaffiliate should be able to do.
love the option for subscription renewal. However, I was hoping to see an option to select this per product or category. I don't want every subscription product have recurring commission
Could we also get custom slugs, like Solid Affiliate?
Are there any direct uses for FluentCommunity and the FluentAffiliate. Like for invites to join a community?
Rachael JacksonΒ Thanks for this question, Shahjahan JewelΒ jewelΒ , please look into this
Rachael JacksonΒ not yet.
Guys, Is there a "multi-tier" or "sub affiliates" option? Or is it on roadmap? I need this option and would be a waste to look other solutions. Shahjahan JewelΒ
marcelo angelimΒ What do you mean by sub affiliates?
Shahjahan JewelΒ Like multi-level marketing, the idea is that the main affiliate can gain a commission over each recruited affiliate sale.
marcelo angelimΒ we don't have any plan for MLM system at this moment. Maybe in the future.
Hoping for Affiliate referall amount by line item in the next update, impossible to calculate what contribution a developer needs to make from the total when their product is part of an order with multiple products paid at different rates.
