Feature Request: Ecosystem-Based Third-Party Affiliate Attribution
Iβd love to suggest a feature that would unlock ecosystem-style monetization for Fluent Affiliate and WPManageNinja-powered platforms.
The idea:
Allow affiliates to use their own third-party affiliate IDs (e.g. ClickFunnels, ClickMagick, autoresponders), so that when a downline user clicks a recommended external tool, the referring member earns the third-party commission, while the platform owner retains the lead and relationship.
Example Use Case
-
User A joins a WPManageNinja-powered platform
-
User A refers User B
-
User B joins and clicks a βRecommended Toolβ link inside:
- a course
- resources page
- tools hub
-
The system:
- Detects User Bβs referrer (User A)
- Uses User Aβs third-party affiliate ID
- Redirects to the external vendor
Result:
- β User A earns the third-party affiliate commission
- β Platform owner captures User Bβs email / relationship
- β No internal commission is paid by the platform
This aligns incentives perfectly and avoids the platform competing with its own members.
Why This Would Be Powerful for Fluent Affiliate
- Enables ecosystem-based affiliate models (similar to FourPercent-style platforms)
- Increases member trust, retention, and referrals
- Expands Fluent Affiliate beyond internal product commissions
- Opens use cases for communities, memberships, and SaaS ecosystems
High-Level Feature Components (Optional)
- Store vendor-specific affiliate IDs per user
- Smart
/go/{tool}redirect links - Fallback to default platform affiliate ID if no referrer exists
- Optional FluentCRM lead attribution before redirect
I believe this would be a strong differentiator for Fluent Affiliate and would love to hear thoughts from the team and other users.
This would be brilliant! Thank you for suggesting it (and I truly hope it gets implemented).
