Are these features available?

I'm super excited about the possibility of jettisoning Affiliate WP. Can you tell me if these features are available?

  • Lifetime capture: Permanently assign the referree to an affiliate, regardless of whatever other affiliate links they might click on later
  • Subscription referral payments: (i.e. someone subscribes to a Woo product with monthly recurring payments) for the lifetime of the subscription (or X months as suggested below)
  • Per product rates: I need to set a different rate for profitable courses than for physical products that have very low profit margins
  • Per product category rates: I have a category for courses containing both in-person and online, and I want affiliates to earn commissions on any course, but not on other training aids category products
  • Coupon discounts for product categories: My affiliates want to earn a % commission AND offer a discount coupon to their referrees. I need to be able to create a coupon template and ensure that it ONLY applies to courses.
  • Coupon discount exclusions by product categories: Similar to above. This is a problem with Affiliate WP in that dynamic coupon templates do not inherit product categories. I can exclude categories from the template, but I cannot specify product categories to which the coupon can be applied.
  • QR codes to which the affiliate ID is appended: Affiliate WP offers a library of QR codes that affiliates can use for specific links to which the affiliate ID is automatically appended. This makes it easy for them to grab a QR code without me having to make one specifically for every affiliate.
  • Flexible referral payment types based on user role, FluentCRM tags, or some other designation: I need to offer course students a free month for every referral and a 10% referral rate for non-students. Students in the course understand and value a free month for the course in which they're enrolled. Non-student affiliates won't value a "free month" as they're not enrolled; they need a % rate payment type.
  • ETA: How about payment in store credit? Students in the course need to receive a free month (i.e., $49.99). Can I give them store credit so their renewal will be charged to the store credit? I'm using Woo.

If these are available I'm signing up immediately.

  • Subscription referral for x months πŸ™‚

Natascha VantuykomΒ good idea. Updated.

  1. Currently, we are storing the a customer and who was the first referree and using that for subscription payment commissions (if enabled). So we can easily extend that achieve that feature. It will be a good feature to have.
  2. Subscription referral payments: Currently, if you enable renewal commission as well then all the renewal will be awarded to the affiliate. X months features will be a good feature to have.
  3. Per product rates: We already have that for EDD and WooCommerce.
  4. Per product category rates: Supported for EDD and WooCommerce already.
  5. Coupon discounts for product categories: Already done
  6. if you create a coupon with some restriction then it will work fine. It depends on the e-commerce solution (Edd/Woo).
  7. QR codes: Can be easily done. Taking as a feature request.
  8. Flexible referral payment types: You can create multiple groups and assign affiliates to those groups. Like create a group named "Students" and give 10%, another "VIP Group" gives 20%.

Shahjahan JewelΒ thank you!! It sounds like you're 90% there for Woo! And at the rate you folks fill out the product roadmap, you'll be there in no time.

Sign me up. I'm all in. I'll jettison AffiliateWP right away.

Shahjahan JewelΒ Bumping for status of store credit or other means to fund a referee's subscription for an extra month?

Shahjahan JewelΒ "Lifetime capture: Permanently assign the referree to an affiliate, regardless of whatever other affiliate links they might click on later" - Is this possible now? I'd like to not have to manually assign payouts/commissions for future purchases.

Shahjahan JewelΒ Are you intending to add a feature whereby a custom commission can be assigned for a particular product for a particular affiliate? Here's the situation: An affiliate provides feedback about a product. For doing this work, they receive a higher rate than someone who just provides customers a product affiliate link without doing any work. The person earning the higher rate must be approved for that rate for that product.

If it isn't possible to assign a higher rate for a particular person, when another affiliate sees that a high quality review has been published, they jump in to promote, taking away the first person's incentive to write a high quality review. I run two rates - one for specific products (which I would like to award to specific people) and one for the general store. Someone who see that someone else has written a high-quality review can jump in and get the store-wide rate, but only the review writer can get the higher rate.

Jim PattonΒ +1... this is a feature I would like as well. The ability to personalise individual affiliate's %. And for this to be different for them across products.

Curtis Bingham

MicarlΓ© CalleaΒ agreed. I'm sure this is non-trivial, but it is still super important.

Jim Patton

Shahjahan Jewel It is really important to be able to set up the right incentive structure. This is what FluentAffiliate is all about.
