[Adding ?ref=X and woo data to URL]

I am trying to add the referral link + the woo data like this:

website.com/?ref=2&add-to-cart=21909&variation_id=118266

It seemed to work but now it's not tracking visits. Does anyone know if I need to place the ?ref=X elsewhere in the URL?
