Thinking of using FluentSupport

I'm a single person agency managing 175+ sites - I'm thinking of using FluentSupport rather than just my inbox - I'm curious how others have used this and if you've found it helpful

William Beem

Yes, a support ticketing system is very helpful to organize requests for help. If you use FluentCRM, the integration is very nice to establish a history within your Contacts. Let me know if you have specific questions and I'm happy to answer. I've worked with various ticketing systems for most of my professional IT life and can tell you what I like and dislike. I do like FluentSupport for my one-man business needs.

William BeemΒ Thanks for the reply - I see they have a free version - If I want it to import from a mailbox do I need to get the paid version

Since all my clients just email today, I do not want them to have to start filling out a form, I just want them to email to a different address instead

William Beem

Philip LevineΒ Email piping works, and it works fine. You set it up, someone sends an email and it creates a ticket.

It works so well that I disabled it.

Why?

Because every SPAM email that I got created a ticket. I got more SPAM than actual customer tickets. So I made it very easy for my customers and community members to find and use my ticketing form.

Your results may be different, but that's my experience.

William BeemΒ you should create a private email like support@domain.com that noone knows instead of your regular email for email piping, so that you dont get spam

William Beem

Nicolas -Β That's exactly what I have. The spammers still fill it up.

Nicolas D

William BeemΒ thats a valid point, we dont experience this, but any recommendations to prevent this kind of spam Shahjahan JewelΒ  ?

thanks :)

William Beem

Nicolas -Β Part of it is where you display this email address for people to use. Once it gets out or if it's on your website, someone will scrape it and share it with other spammers.

Nicolas D

William BeemΒ yes never display an email publicly

Philip Levine

William BeemΒ & Nicolas DΒ Thank you both
I have started moving forward with this and I think I maybe able to use just the free version at least to start. I use MainWP to manage my sites so I'm writing a plugin to pull the ticket information from Fluent into MainWP
