Not fetching Vimeo subtitles
I've upgraded to FP Pro in order to fetch subtitles from my Vimeo videos. However, no matter the settings on the video, the plugin is telling me that Vimeo returned to captions. I even set the video to public (which I obviously don't want to do) to no avail. Has anyone had any luck and can point me in the right direction?
Thanks for reporting this. I tested Vimeo subtitle import with a public video that has English and Spanish CC tracks, and both imported successfully. Could you check that captions are enabled for your video in Vimeo and that it allows embedding on your site? If the video is public, please share its URL here so we can test it. If it’s private or unlisted, please send the full link and privacy settings through a support ticket instead.
Mahfuzur Rahman I've opened a support ticket already, thank you. I've set a video to "Public" and "Embed anywhere" temporarily for testing purposed. The subtitle still won't fetch. The video is here: https://vimeo.com/613850141
Sabra Awlad Issa , thanks for sharing the test video, it helped us find the cause. Vimeo only allows the caption lookup we were using for videos on Enterprise accounts, which is why your captions weren't fetched. We've changed how captions are fetched, and the fix will be in the next release. After updating, just click Fetch again, and you can set the video back to your usual privacy settings now.
