Fluent Player in Community

Okay , i bought on Release Day the 2x Licence. Why? Just another Great Fluent-Plugin :D

Now im sitting here and want realize; How can i use this PRO Version in my Fluent Community ?
Is there anywhere a step-by-step Instruction, i cant see any Integration of the FPlayer PRO Version in a Community Space ?

Without pro u simply dont have videos offload option. So without pro its useless on fcom.

In your course you can you use this exactly like in a regular page

Lukman Nakib But then what's the point of a playlist if it can only be used within a course?

I would think there would be a separate Space alongside the discussion and the course where you could create a searchable video library.

Lukman Nakib Ahh, okay - u mean: In a space - the Embed Video Button on a new Post uses the the Oembed with the Free Player Version, right ?
Can i use the Videos from the Fluent Pro Setting (Library) inside a Space ?

We have requested this a couple of times. Let's hope they're working on it and soon we can add FPlayer Videos in FC spaces. It's crazy to me that this functionality hasn't been added from the very beginning. It doesn't make any sense. Every plugin in the Fluent Ecosystem should be fully integrable with one another, but unfortunately that's not the case yet. The team is doing an amazing job, but a few things are still pending. Crossing fingers for this integration to be out soon!

JF I totally agree... I just found out that I can't use fluent player in my private fluent community courses because if I do, the videos just get exposed publicly without any protection in their standalone landing pages... and if you then set those pages to private, your enrolled students wouldn't be able to see the embeds either. This was quite a sad discovery.

Abby W Oh that's disturbing to hear. Here few things that came to mind:

  1. Set those standalone video pages as no-index.

  2. Exclude them from your sitemaps.

  3. Exclude them from your site's search results.

Then visitors won't be able to find them anywhere.
