Marking Entries as Read
What's the easiest way to mark entries as read? Is there a way to automate it so a entry gets marked as read? I can't find a setting in the form.
We have new forms weekly (registering for an event) that we don't need to read through them but we need to keep the entries. And we have our community disclaimers form that we definitely don't need to read through them all.
Trying to make things easier for my business partner that is not tech savvy.
I wish we could mark them as read from the all entries page. from admin.php?page=fluent_forms_all_entries
Following!
Disabling notifications on admin will also be handy. Lead generation with fluent forms while you use forms for other follow up questions or contact, makes all a bit confusing!
Jorge de los ReyesΒ I have this issue on my personal business website, too. I use Fluent Forms for all my freebies. I don't care about reading the entries. I really only want notifications for the forms that I care about.
Wendy ShoefΒ exactly πββοΈ
Nitin YawalkarΒ does FlowMattic have a way to mark an entry as read?
If so, I could assign a tag that could trigger the workflow but that seems like a lot of work when there could be an option inside the form itself (kind of like how filters in gMail give you the option to "mark as read")
You can leave them as it is. If you have multiple forms, you can only set notifications for the specific forms you want, and keep the notifications for the others off.
For example, we have multiple forms for fluentforms.com
We only set the notifications for the contact pages form (we have 3 there). All entries are also forwarded to an email address, so I don't need to check the entries manually.
Some forms, like Blog Newsletter (in the footer), I don't need to read the entries. They are automatically tagged and run with FluentCRM.
Nishat ShahriyarΒ hi Nishat! But, itβs possible not to trigger the blue dot notification π΅ on the admin? Weβre not talking about notifications by email, but about this lead generation forms not triggering this notices on thr admin so, we do not get distracted by lead gen forms vs contact form.
Eg.: we can have +100 lead gen notices on the admin vs 3 contact form. And we may miss those 3 if we are not able to disable this feature just for lead gen.
Hope I have clarified our needs π. I think this is also exactly what Wendy ShoefΒ was also talking about.
Jorge de los ReyesΒ can you show me screenshot of the blue dot notification π΅ on the admin?
Jorge de los ReyesΒ Thanks for clarification, I am looking into it!
Nishat ShahriyarΒ thank you Nishat! This will be super useful!
Thank you Jorge de los ReyesΒ - this is exactly what I'm talking about.
Nishat ShahriyarΒ Thank you for looking into this. This is something that will make a few of my clients very happy, but more importantly I will be happy. hehehe
Ideally there is a checkbox, toggle, etc. in one of the settings pages for the form (probably confirmations) that we can toggle off/on to have the entries marked as read (aka skip the inbox).
At the least, be able to select all the entries from the main entries page (the one my clients click when they click on the notification bubble) so they can mark them as read from there.
They don't really understand their websites (that's my job) and they shouldn't have to do all these steps:
β sidebar βforms βselect the form's "Entries" link β click the select all checkbox β select mark as read from dropdown β apply
Repeat for every form they don't care about which at the moment is 18 forms (with multiple forms coming out each week) they don't care about, only 1 they do. Currently there is a 26:1 ratio (entries they don't care about : entries they care about).
because there isn't an option to have the entries marked as read from the form itself and/or an option to mark from read from the main entries screen.
Hi! I tried to solve the same for me. I found out, that there is a hook for this (https://fluentforms.com/docs/fluentform_auto_read/) but it doesn't work for me. The Manual is unfortunately very poor. Does anybody have success in using this hook?
Thanks!
