Gating blog posts with email

Hi, I wonder if anyone has tried to gate blog posts with a form asking for email? I have seen this done and would love to try it out with Fluent Forms.

The idea is simple: drive traffic to a blog post -- once they scroll maybe 5%, ask for an email address and don't let them continue reading unless they subscribe.

Has anyone done it?

I do that with my site. I have a membership site, but if I want to share a specific live training or other member-gated material, I can share a bypass link that makes that page view appear as though they have the right membership permissions. I can copy that link anywhere I want, and I have some of the pages on my site setup that instead of offering a 7-day free trial (or option to login if they are a member) it gives them a chance to sign up for my newsletter and get access to that page, then I just redirect them to the bypass link and send them the link in an email (plus follow-up with an option to join the membership through auto-responders if they aren't a member when those would trigger.)

The bypass link is generated from a custom plugin I wrote years ago (probably a decade?) to work with WishListMember, but I've made a new version to work with FluentCRM but haven't implemented yet on my site since I'm still using WLM; it's been on my to-do-list to get rid of for a while now...

Here's an example page: https://apexauthors.com/training-651-social-media-for-authors/

And the bypass link version: https://apexauthors.com/training-651-social-media-for-authors/?key=e09fe29a4109813226d1f29f661c1ffe

There's a "Bypass" top navigation link I can click to quick-access it, or in the WP editor, I can control it by specifying a different Fluent Form than the default, and optionally turn off the default text for getting access by joining the newsletter (in case I'm offering something different):
