Option for Random Posts in the latest post block?

I'm not sure if this works as I thought it would, but I wanted to ask publicly to potentially engage with others looking for similar functionality before submitting a support ticket.

When I use the "latest post block" in my email template, I was hoping it could randomly pull in posts from the last year. However, it only seems to pull in the latest posts from the last few days, at least in the previews and testing I've done.

What I want to achieve with our weekly newsletter recurring campaign is to have a section that shows the latest posts from the last 7 days, which is easy enough. But I also want a section below that shows older posts that people may have missed, as a way to re-engage with our content.

This would also solve another issue for us, as the weekly newsletter would go out regardless of whether there have been new posts on the site in the last week.

Is this not working as intended, or is this not the function of the way I have it configured in my screenshot?

If it is not, this would be a great feature.
