Need advice-Considering purchasing Fluent CRM

I don't own FluentCRM, but am considering purchasing to use to send my newsletter instead of using a separate ESP platform outside of Wordpress. I've read some negative things about the space it can take up in the database, so I'd love to learn more about the plusses and minuses of integrating a newsletter directly into Wordpress.

Fluentcrm is a fantastic product, I ditched other emails services I was using because of how amazing the product is.

Just grab the product with both hands without a second thought.

Trust me, you will not regret your decision

FluentCRM is awesome and a good start for newsletter marketing.

BUT as soon as your newsletter list grows (in my experience approx 400 with most hosting providers), you will need an email service as you will hit limits of your hosting provider's resources allowing you to send x emails at once.Β

So will eventually need an email service that comes with newsletter service anyway.

Christian StrasserΒ Do you mean something beyond Amazon SES?

Israel Smith

Tanja KropfΒ pretty sure he means you will need to use something exactly like Amazon SES / ElasticEmail, etc. :D

Tanja KropfΒ Sorry for the late reply. You can use Amazon SES but I was more thinking on Brevo, Mailchimp and so on.

Hey Tanja KropfΒ ... you can adjust your log retention levels to minimize this, or ideally set up a retention policy to just wipe uneeded DB entries or logs after a certain amount of time. Obviously user actions need to be stored, but there are easy settings within the product to fix this... and you could always implement a custom retention policy if there's stuff you just don't want to save. Truncate the table every now and again using a cron.
