Multilingual Support for FluentCRM
An integration with multilingual plugins, such as WPML, has been requested for years. Will this ever be available?
What would you like wpml to help translate?
I would like to use it on a multilingual site. E.g. a multilingual WooCommerce store...
What about having the same campaign duplicated and translated for each language and your contacts tagged depending on their preferred language
Yes, that works for outgoing email campaigns. However, as soon as you attempt to perform language-specific actions, such as requesting a product review, FluentCRM can't handle that. Another simple example would be the double opt-in email, which can't be translated...
Robin BastianΒ for the double optin, you can set it up list by list, so the users of the list language B could receive a customized double optin email (see list settings), while the users not in list language B would receive the email set in general settings (for a 2 language website). I haven't tested.
As for the request for product review, could you not use automation and have different email templates depending on the language list the customer is in?
I'm not sure if we're talking about the same situation here... The double opt-in, when activated in an opt-in form, confirms the user's email address before they are tagged or added to any list.
For product reviews, the smartcode: {{woo_order.request_review_table}} is unable to distinguish between different languages, due to the lack of understanding of how multiple languages are stored in the WordPress database.
Robin BastianΒ this is what I am talking about. Wouldn't different fluent forms in different languages adding to the right language lists at the time of registering trigger the right optin email? As I said, I didn't test and don't know your precise setup.
Christophe PasquierΒ I'm not using FluentForms. The opt-in email is configured in the global FluentCRM settings and can't be translated into different languages. Workflow: Form submission -> Double opt-in -> Email confirmation -> Tagging -> Adding contact to list. Since the email confirmation isn't part of the workflow, but a requirement to get the workflow started in the first place, it can't be customized for specific languages.
Robin BastianΒ Instead of the fcrm optin form I would use 1 fluent forms (free) connected to fcrm by language to get the user in the right list from the beginning then use that list double optin email customized to the right language. Good luck
Christophe PasquierΒ Thank you. But users are being directed to language-specific lists already. We're using Kadence Forms for specific reasons. The double opt-in isn't the most important issue anyway. It's the inability to perform tasks like sending review requests in different languages that makes working with FluentCRM way harder... Best regards
I use multisite, 1 site per language, and have different customisation for each. I know, it's double work, but it solves many issues with different plugins (for example there is only 1 possibility to enter the content of emails for FCRM, FForms and other plugins)
