Is there any more detailed documentation for Tracking Events?
Would someone be kind enough to explain what these are for and how we can use them?
The docs (https://fluentcrm.com/docs/event-tracking-record/) are frustratingly vague (maybe just me), especially when it comes to Event Keys.
The only instructions are "The Event Key: Put your Event Keywords." What does that mean and what goes there? Just make up a key name or does this tie in somewhere downline? Is this the class of the element that we want to track interactions on?
Then, after creating a Tracking Event Recorded automation, you then 'Add Action/Goal' where there is a Event Tracking Key, Event Tracking Title, and an Event value. Same thing here, no explanation...again, just any random keyname or does this tie in somewhere downline?
I'd really appreciate some help in dumbing things down for me. Thanks!

So the event tracking is the developer focused feature to track event on different actions on your website. You may add an event programmatically or from an automation and it will be shown on the contact's profile and you can also use the events to run an automation.
