Install fCRM on site then migrate fCRM later?

Hello,

We have a situation where we will be replacing an existing WordPress site with a full rebuild in the next few months.

In the meantime, we need to install and configure a Fluent CRM instance to begin sending out marketing emails.

We have two options:

Option 1 - Install on current site, then migrate Fluent CRM to the new WordPress site upon launch

Option 2 - Create a placeholder/dev WordPress install for the new site (on a subdomain), install and use Fluent CRM there, develop the new site there and move it to the primary domain when ready to launch

I am concerned that, with Option 1, we may only be able to migrate certain things from Fluent CRM (such as contact list) while losing other information (such as email history, logs, CRM notes etc.)

Thank you!

Jeremy MollΒ if you are looking to do a fresh install, I would go for option 2. With option 1, you will end up having to transfer the whole database. Start clean in my opnion.

Ryk MelckΒ Thank you, starting clean is likely a best solution.

Directly transferring the database does not sound like an ideal way to migrate a Fluent CRM install from one site to another.
