I don't think the password gets generated by default when WordPress creates an account. This seems to be a front-end feature when someone is manually creating a new account. I could be wrong, but my experience is like yours.

The experience provided works well, as there is no password emails with the user ID and it gives the user a chance to create the password they want.

William BeemΒ Thanks, but I thought the - generate password automatically, will generate a random password for the user?

Bryan WilliamΒ I see what you added with the screenshots and it would lead me to believe the same thing. The next question I'd ask is how the user gets notified of the password.

Bryan William

William BeemΒ They got an email notification, just like below.

Username: Kennedy
