Huge oversight for inserting posts into emails
I was using the Recent Posts block in my weekly newsletter email to display an article I write as a featured post. I noticed when I went back to an older email, the block did not match the content blurb I wrote around it. Well, that's because the Recent Posts block is dynamic, so the content will automatically update with the newest post.
In hindsight, I get it, but there is no other way (that I know of) to add a specific post with a set style similar to the recent posts block styling into an email. Surely I can't be the only one who sends emails where they'd like to select a specific post to highlight with a set style. I created a pattern, but you can't use that. I am getting increasingly frustrated with some of the limitations of FluentCRM. Their workaround was to create a taxonomy to display a specific post. So then I'd have to clutter my back end with useless taxonomies in order to select a post to show in the recent posts block.
Anyone else have a creative idea to work around this flaw?
You are right. We don’t store the individual emails when sending as that would take tons of database storage so each email is rendered live on realtime when you try to view.
There has no better options to do so as if would store individual emails it would take 100s GB of database storage.
Shahjahan Jewel I'm not talking about storing individual emails. I'm talking about a way to display a specific blog post--not the most recent post, since that changes when you add new posts. See the image below. It's using the latest posts block within a fluentcrm email. There is also a blurb above it. If someone goes back to this email two weeks letter, the recent post will be different, so it will not match with the blurb above it. Why is there A) not an option to select a specific post to include in a newsletter with the lastest post block styling or B) a way to save a pattern that I can style to create my own post block?
