Love this - Wondering if there's a way to automate 'Resend Unopened Emails'. Rather than go in and manually resend, I'd love to be able to just set all / some of my campaigns to automatically resend in X time if a subscriber doesn't open my email

Parm SagguΒ The only problem is, the Unopened Emails matrix is actaully not 100% right. Many email clients block the pixel.

Jose Luis Duron

Shahjahan JewelΒ Open rate is just an estimated and CAN'T be used as a reliable metric. As soon as we embrace it, we can forward to what really matters.

I attached an image.

This girl sent me an email.

Obviously I didn't open because I don't care what she said on the subject.

She used the feature "resend to unopened"...

As you can see, I didn't open it AGAIN, and I'll not to open it...

Just because I read the subject and I DON'T CARE what she has to say (at least reading the subject).

I received it.

I don't want to open it (and I will not to).

What make her thinking that sending it again, I'd open it...?

That's the best example, and that's the way people think about receiving emails from people/marketers with that bad practice of "resending" to unopened emails...

P.S. Just in case, the best solution is a NEW campaign/email with new subject, rewrote body. Same message, not resent. Obviously, it requires A LITTLE effort, but the results are infinitely better (and not annoying).

Jose Luis DuronΒ What is your process of tagging and untagging those who did not open the email? The tagging can be done easily, but then the untagging it's not easy. You have to go manually 600 contacts at a time and remove the tag. If you are dealing with thousands of contacts this is not efficient. Are you doing something different?

You could potentially delete the tag all together, but I hesitated doing so in cases it leaves traces in the database; the tag ID not being removed from the individual contacts.
