Feature Request: Auto-Generated Barcode for Contacts

When a new contact is created, the CRM could automatically generate a barcode (such as a QR code) that contains the contact’s details in a vCard format. This barcode can then be scanned using an iPhone or Android device, allowing users to quickly save the contact to their phone without manually entering the details.

Feature Request: Auto-Generated Barcode for Contacts

Honestly, I think this is a GREAT idea. BUT, in the other hand, I can't see the use-case for this one.

Could you please help me to understand how can I use this on my business.

The contacts and users doesn't have to my FCRM.

The only people accessing this data, already have access to the contact profile, so what is supposed to do with de QR?

In my case, every contact on my FCRM is added to Google Contacts and instantly is added to my phone (iPhone, Android, etc).

Thanks!

Jose Luis Duron here are couple of use cases

• Most of the times, when you add a contact to the CRM, you also want to save it on your phone for obvious reasons—whether it’s to make a quick call, send a message, or stay connected on the go. Having an auto-generated barcode makes this seamless and eliminates the need to manually enter the details, saving time and reducing errors.

• Another idea could be : When a new contact is added, a QR code is automatically generated and can be shared effortlessly via email, WhatsApp, or displayed directly on a phone screen. Imagine empowering your clients or prospects to share their information with their own network seamlessly. This not only enhances their professional interactions but also has the potential to drive significant traffic back to your website, amplifying your reach and brand visibility.
