Feature Request - Contact stored in a Cookie
With the current setup, you can use a contact's info in fluentforms/booking form/etc' (such as to conditionally display fields or pre-populate them) when the visitor is also a user and he is logged-in (if you're using Gutenberg then you can also conditionally display elements according to tags).
What I suggest is that a hashed contact id is stored in a cookie and so all the contact's info will be able to be used even if he is not a user and not logged-in.
We have that feature already. So if someone clicks a link in the email, we know exactly which contact clicked, and we add that secure hash in the cookie and those data is available in Fluent Forms / Gutenberg blocks.
Shahjahan Jewel I tried to use the cookie for event tracking on the site for non logged in users. But it didn’t work. The cookie was not deployed nor founded.
any advice for that?

what I meant is that I tried to create an Event Tracking event for page_view with that cookie to track navigation inside the site. But I only succeeded in tracking logged in sessions, not the ones generated by the cookie; like: user from CRM visits on the site after clicking a link on an email.

Shahjahan Jewel Does the cookie work in different sessions? Meaning - if the user clicks on an email link, browse on the site, and closes it after 5, only to return after 3 days (from the same machine of course) - will the cookie still work?
Also, what I suggest is that the cookie will be implemented not only when the user clicks on an email, but also when he fills out a form, so it will be on the machine at the first touch point! No need to wait for an email for that.
Also, I don't know if you implement the cookie when the user logs in but I think that will also be beneficial because - if it works in different sessions, then it will again work in more scenarios.
And a question - does the cookie work for every email click or is it just with smartlinks?

Thanks again for your interest. The tracking solution I mentioned is actually part of a custom plugin we’re developing internally. It's designed to work seamlessly with FluentCRM and our cookie policy — meaning it's GDPR-compliant and respects the user's consent preferences (cookie-based tracking is disabled unless explicitly accepted).
At this point, it’s still under development and not intended for external use, so we’re not sharing the code. It currently tracks logged-in users only, but I’ll be reviewing the secure hash behavior with Jewel to assess cookie persistence for non-logged-in contacts.
I hope we can share the code soon and review it with Jewel. However, it will still be developed for internal use only.

I did not have the chance to reach Jewel yet regarding this, as this is only something we are researching and "toying with".
Also, the GDPR implications, when conducted wrong, are a big risk, especially in our sector. So... yep. It may take some time!
