Date-based email triggers - similar to how “goal steps” work in tools like ActiveCampaign?

Dear FluentCRM Team,

First of all, thank you for your amazing work on FluentCRM – I’m a big fan and actively recommend your tools to clients.

I’m reaching out with a feature request that would be extremely valuable for entrepreneurs and coaches who frequently organize webinars, workshops, or live sessions.

Would it be possible to add support for date-based email triggers, similar to how “goal steps” work in tools like Mailblue/ActiveCampaign?

For example:
When someone signs up for a webinar scheduled on a specific date (stored in a custom field), we’d love to schedule reminder emails automatically:

  • 3 days before the event
  • 1 hour before the event
  • At the time of the event

Currently, this is only possible by manually adjusting delays or creating a separate automation per event — which works, but is time-consuming and not scalable.

It would be amazing if we could use dynamic dates stored in custom fields as anchor points for conditional delays or wait steps.

Let me know if this is something on your roadmap — and if not, I hope you’ll consider adding it in a future release. It would be a huge win for FluentCRM users who run event-driven businesses.

What do you use as an event plugin? Isn't there where reminders could be set? Where do you store your custom field? Interested.

Actually, what is needed to be done is to be able to manipulate data using functions in FCRM automation (such as time, string etc' - like you have for instance in Make). If that would be possible then you could just use the action "Wait until..." - and use that data. Also, what's needed is to be able to use the data of the triggered action (like a booking), with function maniuplation. And this would also add a lot more of possibilities to the automations. This can be done easily with automation.

  1. create an automation
  2. create all the emails you want to send D-14, D-7, D-3, D-1, etc...
  3. Schedule the emails to specific dates
  4. Set skip sending email if date is overdue for all emails
