CRM: Background Image
Could you consider adding the option to include background images in email campaigns?
This feature would allow us to design newsletters with more visually appealing layouts, similar to this example below. It would greatly enhance the aesthetics and branding of our email communications.
This would be amazing and save a lot of time from having to use canva. I don't think i would need canva anymore if this was the case. Shahjahan Jewel
The only problem is, Most of the email clients does not support or render background images :(
Email Clients that Support Background Images:
1. Apple Mail (iOS & macOS): Fully supports background images.
2. Outlook for Mac: Also supports background images.
3. Gmail (Web & Mobile): Supports background images, but there can be inconsistencies, particularly in mobile views.
4. Yahoo Mail: Supports background images well.
5. Thunderbird: Supports background images, but it can be inconsistent depending on the version.
Email Clients with Limited or No Support:
1. Outlook (Windows): Older versions (Outlook 2007-2016) have limited support for background images, often not rendering them at all. Outlook 2019 and newer versions show them, but sometimes with issues. You may need to use fallback solutions, such as background colors or inline images.
2. Microsoft Office 365 Outlook: The web version sometimes has trouble rendering background images in certain contexts.
Shahjahan Jewel we can use fallback colors to solve the image rendering problem for outlook, and other email clients that does not support it...
Inline Styles: Always use inline CSS for better compatibility. Use the background property in inline styles, and provide both a color and an image as a fallback.
really? darn it... I never thought about this feature and went to check to see if Klaviyo has it and they do. I wonder how they are managing with it. I am going to do some testing with some different clients to see what i find. I hate having to design in canva so much it slows me down. Maybe we can have the feature and use it at our own discretion lol
I think worst case it would just show the text and not the background image, if we keep that in mind, i don't think that is a horrible thing to be honest.
