CRM Automation stuck - little help?

Hello everyone, I have a huge problem. I have an automation with a large number of users, and recently I changed a few things in it, which caused the automation to get stuck. The next steps are not executing. How can I force the users to move to the next step so that it starts working again?
Can anyone help with this issue?

Norm Sash

Not sure if this applies to your automation -- maybe you could post an image of your automation steps and indicate where people are getting stuck. That might spur some ideas. Anyway, have you looked at Automations > Specific Automation > View Reports > Re-apply New Steps to see if that is applicable to your automation?

Norm SashΒ In this automation, I have about 40 steps and over 400 users who got stuck at DIFFERENT stages of the automation :)

Unfortunately, re-applying didn’t help.

I already managed by creating tags and workarounds for all the users, but it took me over a day of work. Shahjahan Jewel I really hope that in version 3.0 you will give us the possibility to move to step... :)

@biuro... yeah, skip step action definitely needs to be in FCRM. I made this feature request to them over a year ago and still have not seen any action on it other than "our developers are looking into it".

Norm SashΒ Thank you for the response. It's a shame that this is happening. I just found out from support that in the latest version of Fluent CRM there is a bug where if you add a delay action in automation, for some users the automations stop working. They gave me a version with a fix for this bug and also promised that it will be implemented in the next release.

However, I wonder why the fix, even if small, for something so important wasn’t released. Imagine you have 200 automations, well, I have maybe around 50, and you’re not aware that all of them stopped working, and you depend on that for your business, your sales, etc., etc.

Norm Sash

Michal PaczulaΒ ugh! There have been other bugs where contacts get stuck at a step in an automation and there is no way to move them past it. I guess I'll have to check some of my automations to see if I can figure out if contacts are stuck.

When you say "add a delay action in automation", do you mean adding a delay action into an automation after the automation is already running? Or do you mean adding a delay action into the original design of the automation?

Michal Paczula

Norm SashΒ It's hard for me to say, in my case all automations stopped working. I can't point to a specific cause because I haven't updated all of them :)

However, I am quoting information from support: "There was an unusual issue where the Wait action was preventing some contacts from progressing further in the automation. This did not affect all FluentCRM users, but only a small number, including you, which made it a bit difficult to detect.

Our development team prepared this build to address the issue, and it should now be resolved. The fix will also be included consistently in future updates, so you shouldn’t face this problem again."

Same for email sequences. :)
