Competitor product claims

Hi Shahjahan Jewel,

I wanted to give you and the community the opportunity to fact-check the assertions made by Surecontact about FCRM on the their FB group:

When we first announced SureContact, the #1 request was: "Please make it easy to move out of FluentCRM."

We heard you loud and clear. For a lot of us, the "self-hosted" dream eventually turned into a bit of a headache. You wanted to grow your business, but instead, you became a part-time sysadmin managing database bloat and hosting bottlenecks.

We’ve made it insanely easy to leave those complexities behind and move into SureContact.

Why are people making the switch?

  • Stop being a Sysadmin:Β No more troubleshooting complex server configurations or "why isn't this sending" errors.
  • Fix your backups:Β FluentCRM stores everything in your WordPress database. It grows huge, fast-making your site backups nearly impossible to manage. We move that data off-site while keeping WordPress as your source of truth.
  • Speed (The 10x Rule):Β Since you aren't tied to your hosting's CPU limits, your email broadcasts finally go out at lightning speed.
  • Simplify:Β High-performance hosting is expensive. Why pay for a massive server just to send emails?

hahahahahaha.... Nonsense claim. FluentCRM will remain the king of wordpress CRMs...

SureContact should take it easy before I write a review that will make the few customers they have switch to FluentCRM

Not surprised by SureContact’s points. They’ve been using FluentCRM across their brands for years, so building an easy migration path when launching their alternative is smart and fair.

That said, those arguments are mostly marketing framing to position SaaS as the β€œmodern” fix for self-hosted challenges. Let’s keep it real: the biggest reason companies switch from open-source/self-hosted to fully hosted SaaS is MONEY and tax on your success.

When your contacts, automations, and customer data live on their servers, they gain predictable, long-term income and control over pricing and access. It’s a great business model for them, but it means you lose true ownership.

WordPress won the web because it does the opposite: total freedom, flexibility, and control. You own everything, no vendor can hike prices, restrict exports, or lock you in. That’s why millions choose it over proprietary platforms.

Calling genuine self-hosted WordPress plugins β€œbad” or a β€œheadache” isn’t technical reality - it’s just positioning to sell SaaS. Done right, self-hosted is more powerful, private, customizable, and cost-effective in the long run. That’s why, for most WordPress users who value independence, self-hosted remains the clear winner.

We built FluentCRM to champion exactly that: unlimited contacts, no tax on your success, and everything stays 100% yours.

I think they genuinely love our products, and that’s why they work so hard to make these marketing framing comparisons 🀣

Shahjahan JewelΒ well said πŸ’ͺ😁

Shahjahan JewelΒ Thanks for your balanced view. I posted on Sure's FB group as a reply to those allegations.

Shahjahan JewelΒ I'm curious to see if I will be or if the post will be removed. One thing I appreciate about this community is that there is not the tight control over what is posted that you witness over there
