Automation Funnel for subscriptions

Im very new to automations and Im a little stuck on how to get it working properly..

I have 3 tiers in a subscription.
Basic
Standard
PRO
Would I need to do 3 seporate workflows to get this working to change wprole and more etc, or can I do on the one workflow with multiple conditions or is there another way?

My preference is to separate flows. Keeps things clear and is easier to troubleshoot.

J V I have the one product with 6 variations. 3 for monthly and 3 for yearly. Is there a way to select the variations rather than just the product?

Luke HubCo I don't have a variation like that, but I imagine you can. I suggest to just make it as simple as you can. You can duplicate automations so you don't have to make each from scratch. Give them a good name and adjust product or variation. Which ever is easiest in your system.
