Adding new steps to an automation in progress

Hi,

I'd like to know what will happen if I have some contacts in an automation already in progress, but they are let's say at my step 2, and then I add new steps while they are already within the automation.

Will it be applied to them knowing they haven't yet passed in the next steps? Or do I have to click on the Reaply new steps button?
