Wordpress account for subscriptions
I find it inelegant that a customer needs a conventional wordpress account in order to see and manage their service subscription (or past purchases). The automatic "New User Registration" emails that wordpress sends, breaks the illusion this is a proper ecommerce site. What are your best practices for creating a better user experience when logins are required, but you don't want the customer to interact with the classic wordpress interface elements or experience?
Eek! I didnβt know this. Iβm still on SureCart. I am eager to hear peopleβs solutions. If people already register on my site for my Fluent Community membership, does that keep them from needing to log in via the traditional WP login page?
Kaneisha G.Β My question is specifically about selling a service on a subscription basis. For example, web hosting.
I do also have a FC site, and had to set up login and other pages to capture that experience, but FC has some tools for managing the user experience. However, if you're not using FC, because you're selling goods or services, that's where my question mainly applies.
If you use FluentCRM, you could create the user there inside an automation instead of creating the user with FluentCart. In that way, you can send a custom email with the login details to the customer.
Then you could create a custom Login-Page, so the customers don't have to go through the WordPress standard login page. You'll need to deactivate the WordPress top ribbon for non-admin users as well.
Check also FluentAuth, there you can set redirections based on user roles, so they'll never has to be in contact with any WordPress standard page.
We are working on it and will be released soon.
Sarkar RiponΒ that would be amazing, thank you. It's a lot of undocumented extra set-up, currently.
