Using Cornerstone Builder to add more content to Product Page

This is awesome. I can use the Cornerstone builder in the Pro Theme from Themeco and I just realized that I can add Cornerstone builder elements to the product pages. It has just a few quirky odd things that I have to work around, but I easily added builder elements to my product pages. Very happy about this. πŸ‘

Interesting, I also use Cornerstone but I have yet to build product and other shop pages with it for FluentCart. So it's working quite nicely right now even without official support for Cornerstone? What are the quirks you're running into?

F. C.Β So you have to enable "Products" in the Cornerstone settings first. Then in the product details, you'll go to Long Description and choose Builder and then click on Show Content Editor. Then there you can click on Edit in Cornerstone to get to the builder.

The quirks that stood out the most was the bottom flow where is says Section->Row->Column etc was not visible. I had to go to the side panel and view the flow there. That was the main thing.

It will place the content below the product.

Kevin WatsonΒ I see. What if you use CS’s layout assignment conditional logic and create single and archive layouts for FC in CS? Since FC products are a CPT, it should be possible that way to create custom designs for product and archive pages. I haven’t dug deeper into this so I could be wrong. You’d need to somehow inject FC specific content into those pages with dynamic content.

F. C.Β I am using FluentCommunity with FluentCart and the only two layouts that can be used are the two they supply for builders that keep the same feel of the Community.

My guess is that outside of that, you could customize things more. I just haven't installed it outside of the community
