Taxes nightmare :)

To be compliant on all countries, one has to register and remit VAT and various taxes. I personally do not want to go there, while having customers (for digital products) globally.
I researched the topic and found out that you can choose a payment provider which is also the "Merchant of Records" (MoR), and will do all the tax work for you. Based on my needs, I narrowed down to 3 such providers:

How would FluentCart integration work with them? Or could I simply have the checkout link to go to their platform? Or would we need to build integration?

(Stripe, Paypal etc. are not MoR) and I do not want to have to register to all countries taxes ID to remit taxes.

Everyone: how do you do that?

and Shahjahan Jewel : how does WPManageNinja accounts and remit taxes for all the clients you have globally?

Thx all, I feel overwhelmed now :D

(edited to add Payproglobal)

I just want to add that I initially thought I would use Paddle, as WPMN team is currently building its integration and as they are a Merchant or Records and can do all taxes stuff on my behalf, but they do not allow my kind of offers, see their "What am I not allowed to sell on Paddle?"

"Human servicesΒ which are not related to a software offering (e.g. pure consulting or advisory services, including but not limited to legal advice, coaching, and access to a community of experts)"

I feel so lost πŸ˜…
In the past, I only had domestic sales, and under the threshold...
But now I want to go international, I would love if anyone has a comment for me. How do you all do?

Patricia BT

Reply from CleverBridge, it would be at least 5000 euros per month, so not for me, not for beginners
At this price, I can pay for an accountant to work on tax remittance.

How do you all do?

Patricia BT

More information, FastSpring is in the USA, so it won't work for me as I refuse to fill the IRS W8 form again.
So PayPro Global seems to be ok on all points: accept my type of business, are European people with company registered in Canada, are MoR, then only thing now is to create a payment gateway from FluentCart, I asked ChatGPT but as I'm not a dev, this could be dangerous :D

My question: how do you ALL do when you sell in countries where you need to remit taxes

Patricia BT

From PayPro Global:
We've reviewed your information, and unfortunately, we're unable to move forward at this time.

We do, however, welcome future inquiries for websites related to software, SaaS, video games, and digital goods. If your business falls within these categories, please feel free to submit a new request.

Patricia BTΒ Hey Patricia, in a similar situation . Which payment provider did you finally go for? Would love to hear your response.

Patricia BT

arjun arjunΒ for now, none :(
I would be very interested to read how other community members do

arjun arjun

Patricia BTΒ oh...you can try hotmart.com or whop.com if that fits your use case.

Patricia BT

arjun arjunΒ thx for your reply.
Actually they look more like SaaS to host events, courses, etc.
This is not what I want. I want a system like Paddle, that would handle revenue and taxes around the world (integrated with FluentCart, via API or webhooks). But Paddle doesn't serve my business model, so I'm looking for similar services.
Everything else than revenue and money processing would be on my sites with community and courses inside FluentCommunity, etc
