Shippo is coming to FluentCart: live shipping rates and labels
Year one was about getting the core right. Payments, tax, multi-currency, migrators, builders. 44 releases.
Year two has a clear focus: make FluentCart the best way to run a physical store on WordPress, and give you more built-in tools to sell more.
The first piece is almost ready. Weβre bringing Shippo to FluentCart, our first live shipping integration, launching soon as a beta.
What it does
- Live carrier rates at checkout: USPS, UPS, FedEx, DHL Express, Royal Mail, Canada Post, Australia Post and more
- Your customers pick their carrier
- Buy labels from the order screen, with your preferred carrier or the cheapest rate already selected
- Your own methods stay: flat rate and local pickup work like they do today
- Shipping status hooks for developers and agencies
To make room for it, we rebuilt the shipping module. That also brings split shipments and shipping rates in multiple currencies.
Why Shippo first? It has a proper test mode, so we can run the full loop (quote, buy a label, check, repeat) without spending real postage. And US stores get discounted USPS, UPS, and FedEx rates from day one.
Whatβs next: more shipping integrations, built-in marketing tools to help you sell more, and more design options. Iβll share each one here as it lands.

More cooking! fast!!
Woohoo! This is awesome. I've been waiting for the integrated shipping rates and label printing to migrate from Woo. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Once this functionality is available, I'll await a native option to add affiliate products using external URLs. π I know a few third-party plugins can already add that functionality, but one of the main reasons I want to get away from Woo is needing so many paid add-ons to get it where it needs to be, and it seems a simple enough function to develop and not a major technical feat.
Great to see the updates Jewel - really need a way to Support for Stripe Credits for usage-based billing!

easy to implement manually but i want to keep the client experience in the Fluent Cart experience
Awesome!
Hmm, that may open some new possibilities for me and a client.
Will there be a Shipping integration adaptor available when Shippo (beta) launches? so that building local shipping integrations will be possible
Nice, shipping physical products is getting some attention.
Would the label quotes and purchasing be fully automatic or does it always need manual admin action?
